GAITS currently operates and maintains Local Area Networks (LANs), and
Local Area Backbone Network (LABN) LAN/LABNs consist of file servers,
communications servers, routers, hubs, premise wiring network interface
cards (NICS), PCs and printers for several government customers. GAITS
not only monitors all infrastructures, which includes LABN, RAS and WABN,
but also troubleshoots any and all issues as they arise.
Offering a Full Range of LAN Services
You may select just a few of the technology services GAITS provides, or you may
choose complete re-design, rollout, maintenance and operations monitoring of
your LAN, server and desktop. Our LAN assessment services include:
- Network discovery. Information gathering, evaluation and documentation of your
physical and logical network topology, asset inventory, tools, and processes.
- Performance analysis. Technical and business evaluation of your LAN environment,
including throughput, reliability, redundancy, security, bottlenecks, resource
utilization, server consolidation and line cost efficiencies.
- Recommendation. Solution proposal and specific action items for implementation.
LAN Implementation Services
- Design and installation. LAN, server and desktop design, installation, software
distribution, and system configuration. Deployment of infrastructure necessary
to support varied levels of complexity and size including LAN switching, routers,
Fast/Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, NT, Unix and Novell.
- Maintenance. We plan and implement a maintenance program—preventive and
remedial—focused on minimizing network downtime and achieving maximum operations
efficiency. The program consists of discovery tools, periodic network testing,
ongoing inspections and on-call/on-site engineering staff support.
- Technical Support. GAITS will provide the technical skills, equipment and procedures
necessary to identify and resolve network problems.
- Asset Management. Remote inventory management and technology updates; upgrades
via teaming arrangements to achieve the best value.
- Training. Professional trainers provide competency in the required software,
operating systems and network management procedures.
