
GAITS Awarded a Worldwide US Army Contract to support the Information Engineering Systems Command (ISEC)
Alexandria, VA, July 2007 - Global Analytic Information Technology Services (GAITS), a VA based
SI and IT Services Firm, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to support the
Information Engineering Systems Command (ISEC) to provide worldwide information technology
quality assurance (QA) support to the U.S. Army's Information Systems Engineering Command (ISEC)
through its Fort Detrick Engineering Directorate (FDED). This award uses ISEC's Total Engineering
and Integration Services (TEIS) contract and encompass a wide range of information technology services
and installation supporting the Army across 18 different time zones ranging from Asia to CONUS to Europe.
The contract requires that GAITS personnel provide QA oversight on various IT systems which include data networks,
voice networks, inside plant (ISP), and outside plant (OSP) during the various implementation stages reviewing
various Army contractors work and performance. The types of OSP projects include underground (manhole and duct)
and direct buried outside plant cable, both copper and fiber, multiplexing equipment, and inside plant fiber optic
cabling for local area networks. The types of data network projects consist of installation backbone networks,
premise distribution systems, asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), Wireless, Gigabit Ethernet (GigE), Dense Wave
Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Voice Over IP (VOIP), Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET),
Hardened Carrier Distribution Systems (HCDS) and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).
