GAITS, Inc., Awarded a Five-Year Contract from the Department of Justice/Federal Bureau of Investigation (DOJ/FBI) to Perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)

Alexandria, VA, April 2007 - IV&V services will be provided to support DOJ and FBI developmental programs and projects. The primary objective is the IV&V of project management, system development and integration activities. IV&V services will ensure projects are planned, resourced and executed effectively; administrative support requirements are provided; contracted efforts are effectively planned and conducted; project objectives are met within the pricing schedule; and the user community is an integral, participating member of the developmental project lifecycle. This contract provides IV&V services for various Federal Government programs and projects that are primarily under the auspices of the FBI and DOJ Chief Information Officers (CIOs). This IV&V effort is also intended to assure Government managers and executives that the correct products, including necessary documentation, are provided to their stakeholders and that CIO polices and procedures are adhered to during the project development.
